Since 2013, the TUM campus run has been organized by the "Junge Akademie" - a research project for young scientists.
Despite the summer heat with over 30 °C, over 1,500 runners started the race.
Our team of the Student Health Management (SGM) did not miss the opportunity to be on site.
However, we did not focus on top athletic performance. Instead, we dared for the first time to appear publicly and to present ourselves and our concept to the students and all other participants.
We weren't alone. Our partner, the Techniker Krankenkasse, actively supported us by offering a free foot measurement and based on it recommended a suitable running shoe. Many participants and spectators tried out their offer.
In the meantime, we asked the students about different aspects of their health and informed them about our project. We are very happy that our project was received with such interest and look forward to almost 80 written feedbacks that we received on this day.
We also congratulate all runners who put up with the strains of the run despite the high temperatures.
