Health ToGo!

Brushing your teeth, staying away from the candy aisle in the supermarket, and taking the stairs instead of the elevator to the 6th floor today: In our everyday lives, we have already internalized numerous health behaviors or are kindly guided by our inner conscience to make a health-conscious decision (well, the stairs then!). However, sometimes (perhaps daily) we need to be reminded visually or by a verbal cue of what is good for us and our health. The TUM4Health "Pocketwissen" inclused two postcards that will help you to stay hydrated throught your day, and develop a healthy sleep routine! In addition, our emergency postcard summarizes all numbers you need to know as a TUM student.

Stay Hydrated!

Adequate hydration is important for your concentration and for maintaining your bodily functions. This postcard includes a 7 Days Hydrate Challenge and will help you to drink enough water. Plave this card in a visible spot in your home and use a 0.5 liter bottle to keep track of your water drinking progress.

Improve your Sleep!

Especially at the beginning of the semester, students have to adapt to a new daily routine and balance many things at the same time: their study workload, a part-time job, social obligations, sports and leisure activities. While sleep is often not a priority, irregular sleep rhythms are common in students. Yet, sleep is an important predictor of cognitive performance in students and vital to our overall health. To keep a regular sleep rhythm during the semester, we've put together a checklist of tips that can help you to develop a healthy morning and evening routine and improve your sleep!
