Magnesium solution

This myth is wrong!

In fact, no study has yet been able to verify the apparently positive effect. A small effect could only be oberserved in pregnant women who experienced cramps during the night [1].

In the revision of the S1 guidelines "Crampi / muscle cramps", the Ärzte-Zeitung also states that the effectiveness of magnesium has not been adequately proven [2]. In addition, many meta-analyzes show that a healthy and balanced diet does not lead to magnesium deficiency [3].

A patient study showed that intensive stretching can alleviate the cramp in the affected muscle. "[But] if you stretch your muscles three times for ten seconds before going to sleep, you significantly reduce the tendency to cramp" [1].

In addition it is scientifically proven that drinking pickle juice can reduce the number of muscle cramps [3].
