What helps against stress?
- healthy eating:In stressful situations, you often long for nerve food and then quickly reach for pizza or a chocolate bar. But a healthy diet strengthens the whole body and above all contributes to the ability to concentrate [1]. You can make the most of your lunch break and do something good for yourself by preparing a delicious and healthy meal. - enough sleep: You should also use the nights and sleep with them. A quiet sleeping environment and a regular rhythm help sleep quality to improve [2,3]. It's easier to finish the delivery the next morning anyway if you're rested.
- Single instead of multitasking: So much to do and you would like to do everything at the same time? It's better to concentrate on one task and then move on to the next, otherwise you won't be able to complete any of the tasks 100%. Researchers have found that switching between different tasks wastes time. Our brain is therefore more efficient and faster when solving individual tasks [4]. It can help you to write a to-do list and to prioritize the tasks according to importance and deadline.
- Take time for yourself:
Make a conscious effort to plan time for things that you enjoy and that relax you. It's best to find something that gets you out into the fresh air and away from your laptop. (inspiration)
