staying fit during the pandemic

staying fit during the pandemic

Sports and physical activity are not only important for strengthening and maintaining physical health, but also for well-being and mental health [1]. According to the "HUNT Study" from 2017, about 12% of depression could be avoided if at least one hour of moderate exercise is practiced weekly [2]. In this regard, one can take advantage of the countless possibilities of the World Wide Web and participate in "challenges" or be coached through a training session from the comfort of one's home.

Time management in everyday life is also another key aspect. It is recommended to fit an individually suited workout into your day to stay physically and mentally active as well as to establish a routine [3]. Furthermore, physical activity has a stabilizing effect on the immune system [4].
